‘Year of Evangelism’ to Span 18 Months,
Finley Says |

Beginning in 2009,
the Seventh-day Adventist world church launches a year and a half
emphasis on outreach across the globe. Called the Year of Evangelism,
church leaders hope the redoubled focus will bring tens of thousands to
a saving faith in Christ and ultimately lead to an increase in church
membership.
A key mover behind the initiative is Mark Finley,
the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist’s vice president for
evangelism and witness...At the world church headquarters, Finley chairs
the Adventist Television Network Board, the Global Internet Evangelism
Network Forum, and the Follow the Bible Initiative, among other duties.

The world’s 25
million Seventh-day Adventists will unite in prayer for the success of
President-elect Barack Obama, according to Pastor Jan Paulsen, president
of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. “We pray that God
will give you strength and wisdom to meet the unprecedented challenges
of our time,” Paulsen wrote in a letter sent to Obama, the first
African-American elected to the position after the historic November 4

Grand Bahama Academy Continues to Impact the
Community with their Christmas Program |

Grand Bahama Academy (GBA) of Seventh-day Adventists presented:
The
Backward Christmas Pageant at the Freeport Church this past Thursday
night, December 11, 2008 to a packed audience. GBA, a K3-12
Seventh-day Adventist Christian educational institution,
continues to make a solid impact in the community of the northern
Bahamas. The performance was truly inspiring. GBA has a very talented
student body, creative faculty of teachers and a sound administration.
