To God be the Glory great things he has done. After the hard work and dedication from the Orion Pathfinder Club, and the youth department. Our Orions raised over $57,000.00 to aid the youth retreat in Orlando. CLick to read more ..
On Sunday July 6, 2008 Pathfinders, youth , and youth at heart all left for the youth retreat in Orlando. We had a total of 80 persons who attended the retreat. Among them was our Youth Director for the North Bahamas Mission - Pastor Ricardo Bain, our youth director for the church - Sis. Eleanor Palmer, First Elder - Elder Lawrence Palmer, - AY Sponser and elder for AY - Elder Cecil Thompson and many other members, youth , and pathfinders. It was a trip to remember. Pastor Bain gave us a devotion every morning before we left. We had three seminiars on Thinking big, by Sis Carleta Carolina, Managing your time -by Bro. Ron Pratt, and How to be succesful, dare to be a Daniel - by Elder Lawrence Palmer. We went to Universal Studios and Blizzard beach at disney and Friday we went to the Holy Land. It was life changing. Friday night, Sis Ena Cooper led the song service for vespers and we partook in the ordinance of humility and had communion. Testimonies were given by the young people on how the retreat changed their lives and helped them to have more faith. On Sabbath we went to Patmos Chapel where our souls were blessed and returned home on Sunday. Time sure does fly when your having a good time in the Lord. We thank God for the children we have at the Freeport Church Family. They were on their best behaviour and we had no problems. To God be the Glory.
